Insight into Some Aspects of Pipe Jacking Techniques during Long Distance Installations in Municipal Engineering
With the increasingly widespread in the application of municipal projects with unparalleled advantages, pipe jacking construction technology during long distance is one of the most complex and quite difficult topics. The technical problems and measures to deal with that through of the pipe jacking technology during long distance were provided in this paper, including (1)appropriate construction methods were selected in accordance with comparative analysis and verification, (2)common problems, such as rotation of the jacking machine, correction, slurry leakage and ventilation, were handled with effective management and treated timely with frequent small adjustments instead of static or large ones, (3)measures were taken to prevent major technical problems such as insufficient jacking force, insufficient thrust force from working shaft and failure in following correct jacking direction. Integration of meticulous organization and information construction can be widely applied in the city's infrastructure.
