A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
The weirs were placed at the ends of suitable channels from which the discharge passed into a calibrated weighing tank with a capacity of 20 tons. Time was noted on a stop-watch electrically operated by the weighing scales. The elevation head on the weir was measured by a piezometer and at least one hook-gauge.
