Consumptive Use of Water in Irrigation
This report proposes detailed definition s of the consurnptive use of water in irrigation. It also calls attention to differences between the basic meaning of consumptive use and its application to the farm, the project, and the valley. Common difficulties in making a dependable determination of consumptive use are enumerated and briefly discussed. Experimental observations of consumptive use of water in typical irrigated valleys of the West are reported.
