The Flow of Water in Irrigation Channels
This paper presents a study of some data recently published as Bulletin No. 194 of the United States Department of Agriculture. An exponential formula is deduced for the flow of water, V = C R0.69 S0.5, in which the coefficient, C, varies from about 40 to 140, depending on the roughness of the channel.
