Construction Manipulators for Transmission Towers
This paper describes basic concepts to develop the remote controlled construction manipulators system for transmission towers. The purpose of this system is to reduce severe working condition during tower assembling process that involves some risk of fall accident. Remote controlled assembly technology is a key for future large-scale transmission tower construction. Authors have developed a concept of the semiautomatic construction manipulators system for transmission towers.
