Seismic Hybrid Simulation of a Multi-Span Bridge
A seismic hybrid simulation between four universities was introduced in this work using a platform named NetSLab. The platform is capable of transferring control and feedback signals among distributed laboratories or computers connected by the Internet. A multi-span bridge was loaded to simulate the responses corresponding to different earthquake hazard levels, in which two FRP retrofitted RC columns were tested physically, and the other three columns were simulated numerically. The results demonstrate that NetSLab has adequate for applications, and the bridge with retrofitted RC columns has adequate seismic behavior under earthquake excitation.
