Adaptive Reproducing Kernel Particle Method for Fracture Analysis of Cracks
The Reproducing Kernel Particle Method (RKPM) is presented for analyzing linear-elastic cracked structures. An automatic adaptive refinement procedure based on stress recovery procedures is also involved in this process. Numerical examples formode I and mixed-mode condition are performed and results are in excellent agreement with the analytic solution, and example problem is also presented to simulate crack propagation.
