Study of Scour Around Spur-Dikes
Investigation was conducted in 2 ft wide by 25 ft long nonrecirculating flume; effect of flow, spur-dike, and sediment characteristics on maximum scour depth; it was found that Froude number of normal channel, opening ratio, angle of inclination of spur-dike, and average drag coefficient of sediment particle adequately represent influence on maximum scour depth.
