The Integrated Urban Transportation Plan — PITU 2020 is a planning process starting with the statement of a wish, shared by significant decision-maker agents, that expresses what it would be like to live in Sao Paulo, in 2020. Through the established objectives for the transport policy and the performance indicators, it analyses future scenarios, defining and testing strategies in order to, finally, identify the necessary interventions on transportation systems, as well as on the infrastructure existing or to implant in the Metropolitan Area.
