Ground-Water Development: A Symposium: Planned Utilization
There is reviewed herein the legal status of ground waters in California and the present (1955) development of ground-water supplies with particular reference to problems ca used by hapha zard development. An organization is recommended for the full beneficial control and use of available water supplies through the coordinated use of surface-water and ground-water storage capacity. The problems of such coordinated operation are examined, and an illustrative operational example of the benefits attributable to the planned utilization of underground storage is presented.
