Thick Rectangular Plates on an Elastic Foundation
The governing equations and their solutions for the bending of thick rectangular plates resting on elastic foundations are presented using the theory of plates developed by Eric Reissner. An examination of various types of fixity of edges involving three boundary conditions is presented, and it is shown that the Levy and Navicr solutions can be used.
