Two Proposals for Solution to Transport Problems in Wuhan
As the biggest water, land and air transport hub in inland China, Wuhan plays an important role in connecting east and west. In fact, Wuhan is situated as a geo-economic center in China. However, transport problems obstruct the development of Wuhan seriously. In this paper, introductions of water bus and staggered commuting hours which have been studied and implemented in Japan are proposed to cope with traffic problems in Wuhan. By the analysis of these two policies, considering geography and traffic in Wuhan, whether these policies can resolve traffic problems in Wuhan is discussed.
