A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
The paper aims to present the broad engineering features of an important electric traction installation for long-distance freight service of the heaviest character, in a manner which will make clear to railway engineers generally its essentials in design, construction, and operation. In so doing an attempt has been made to avoid undue length or complication in describing details which are of interest to electrical engineers only.
