Behavior of Riveted Truss-Type Connections
The tests reported herein were performed to provide information on the general behavior of large, truss-type, riveted steel connections. The variables of the test program included specimen configuration, method of hole preparation, and size of rivets. A study was ma de of the comparative behavior of the specimens, the distribution of load to the gusset plates, the strains in the lacing bars, the effect of hole preparation, and the predicted and computed efficiencies of the connections.
