Garrison Dam: Evaluation of Test Results
The principal methods used in evaluating observations of the tunnel test section at Garrison Dam are presented herein. Principal results were loading on the temporary support ribs, magnitude and distribution of load on the permanent concrete lining, and a better understanding of the inherent safety of a circular lining provided by ring action. Certain new analytical methods are presented, with their possible application to other tunnels.
