Automobile Hazard in Cities and Its Reduction
This paper directs attention to the great variations in the hazard of automobile operation in the larger cities of the United States; shows what this variation is; derives a theoretical formula to account for it; shows the applicability of this formula to cities of the United States; and discusses conclusions resulting from the investigation, which show the great ex tent to which street hazard is controllable by proper city planning and zoning measures.
