Information Technology and Cultural Change in the Construction Industry
This paper looks at cultural issues of implementation an advanced web based information technology system for construction. Further, the paper looks at the potential for an advanced 3D+++ CAD system to be intertwined in this web based IT system. This combined web based 3D+++ CAD system can be the basis for a visual common language for all players in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction process. Cultural challenges are presented for implementing such a system.
