Research between Construction Land Changes and Urbanization in Tianjin
On the basis of three TM remote sensing imageries in 2000, 2006 and 2010, this paper studied the temporary and spatial changes of Tianjin construction lands during the 10 years by using image processing and interpretation analysis tools. According to the related statistics in Tianjin City from 2000 to 2010 and the use of the composite index, it can calculate the urbanization development level. Based on this, using the methods of the co-integration test and Granger causality test analyses, the relationship between urbanization and urban construction lands is analyzed. The results showed that the Tianjin City construction lands area has shown a trend of rapid increase in 2000-2010. Urbanization also increased year by year, entering the middle stage of rapid development. However, there is a unidirectional causality between urbanization and urban construction lands. The urbanization is the Granger reason for the changes of construction land, while the urban construction land is not.
