Stresses around Rectangular Openings in a Plate
Curves have been deve loped for dete rminatio n of the normal s tress around rect angular openings when subected to uniaxial or biaxial stress fields. Height to width ratios between 0.4 and 2.5 have been studied. The study was made expe rimentally utilizing the photoelastic interferometer method of stress analysis.
