Evaluation and Planning of Trenchless Sewer Alternatives in Venezuela
The overall project presented consists of evaluation of existing infrastructure and planning the improvement/upgrading of regional potable water and sewerage systems for the coastal city of Barcelona, (near Puerto La Cruz) Venezuela, and the surrounding area. This presentation will focus on the wastewater system aspects assessed. The primary objective was to investigate the existing system and conceptually develop/evaluate alternatives for the collection and conveyance of wastewater flows in the Barcelona, VZ area. Background information was reviewed, as well as the technical framework necessary to determine the most viable wastewater collection and conveyance alternatives, and to effectively prioritize sanitary sewer collection system investigation and ultimate rehabilitation.
