Evaluation of Sasobit Warm Mix Rubber Asphalt Properties
As a kind of compound modification materials, warm mix rubber asphalt (short for WMRA) has outstanding advantages of low carbon emission. Rubber powder and additive agent applied in it have different influence on the asphalt binder. However, due to no thorough and systematic studies on the influencing factors, there is a lack of clear guiding ideology for performance and material selection of warm mixing rubber asphalt binder. Hence, in this paper, orthogonal experiments are applied to reasonably design the performance test of Sasobit® WMRA added with the common warm mix additive Sasobit®. Meanwhile, the sensitivity and influence rules, such as asphalt rubber mesh and content, as well as Sasobit® content, are evaluated by variance analysis method and range analysis method, thus providing a basis for the selection of performance and material of the Sasobit® WMRA.
