Shear Deformation Behavior of the Cemented Interface between Concrete and Argillaceous Siltstone
Shear deformation behavior of the cemented interface between concrete and argillaceous siltstone was investigated by means of large-scale field shear tests conducted at the construction site of the Ganjiang Bridge. Based on the field test data, three stages of deformation were presented. Moreover, three failure modes of the cemented interface were established according to the behavior of each sample. Factors affecting the failure modes were also discussed. The relation between shear and normal stress indicated that dilation existed during shear tests. In addition, the shear strength for shear and friction tests was estimated from the testing results in consideration of field actual conditions.
