A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
Water Wise
Located in a semiarid region, the town of Castle Rock, Colorado, has a goal to reduce its reliance on nonrenewable groundwater sources. A recently completed pipeline project enables Castle Rock to tap into a regional water network that draws from surface water sources, furthering the town’s efforts to rely more on renewable water supplies. Through careful selection of materials and installation methods, the design team minimized project costs and untoward effects on traffic and the community.
