Cable dome is the most successful application of tensegrity system. It consists of cables and struts and prestress provides structural stiffness. According to the structural behavior of the dome, several construction schemes are first introduced. Then analysis methods including inverse analysis method and dynamic relaxation method are used to simulate the construction process of cable domes. The basic theory and the calculation steps are also discussed respectively.
