Analysis of Balance between Supply and Demand in Indemnificatory Housing Based on Housing Affordability
Solving the housing problems of urban low-income groups and households with housing difficulties is an important measure to construct a harmonious and well-off society. Meanwhile, the construction of indemnificatory housing is one of the main measures to solve the housing difficulties of low-income families. The pace of indemnificatory housing investment in China has been sped up significantly since 2008, but there still exists a big gap compared with the demand for indemnificatory housing. This article analyzes the demand for indemnificatory housing through the calculation of the housing affordability index of different income levels of the population, and points out that there is a big imbalance between supply and demand in China's indemnificatory housing. So, management system and mode of financing of indemnificatory housing should be innovated and corresponding policy proposals should be put forward.
