An Experimental Study of Bubbles Moving in Liquids
In connection with other investigations at the David Taylor Model Basin in Washington, D. C., a fundamental study of the motion of bubbles was undertaken. As an initial step, experiments were conducted to determine the drag and shape of single air bubbles rising freely in various liquids.
