This paper will present and discuss the design, installation, and testing of Cathodic Protection systems installed for the City of Houston's Surface Water Transmission Program. The purpose of this paper is to discuss how the City of Houston is approaching corrosion prevention for large diameter water lines. Furthermore, it will discuss how cathodic protection design has been modified to meet the City's specific needs over a 20-year period.
