Dividing Flow in an Open Channel
The performance of a one dividing channel is studied in detail. The hydraulic jumps and recirculation regions near the junction are described and correlated with the over-all performance. Theoretical models predicting the essential features are developed. A concentration coefficient characterizing the separated flow in the branch must be determined experimentally.
