Difference Method for Higher-Order Equations of Flow
A quasi-Lagrangian difference scheme can be used to describe higher-order systems of flow. Constructed on a computational grid formed by the third-order characteristics, it has no amplitude error and offers a possibility to represent tendencies towards instability of the flow. A filtering process is demonstrated to eliminate the effect of phase errors.
