The Computer-Aided Visualization of Curtain Wall Reflection Glare
This paper presents a computer-aided visualization of the influence of reflection glare from glass curtain wall buildings. Simulations were conducted to compare with actual occurrences in order to increase an understanding of the influences of environmental factors, such as building construction elements, street width, solar hours, and shading effects. The factors are exemplified by cases. The simulation uses boundary of reflection area (BRA) and reflection volume (RV) to estimate the influence of reflection glare at three local regions.
