Rehabilitation of Water Mains in Hong Kong
This paper presents the elements and findings of a study to establish the feasibility of renewal/renovation of about 63 km of freshwater and saltwater mains distributed across the whole New Territories in Hong Kong. The paper also provides an overview of trenchless rehabilitation techniques for water mains and presents the results of several pilot trenchless techniques which were executed to investigate their feasibility to Hong Kong conditions.
