Fiberglass Pipe Design for Water Mains
This paper discusses the design aspects of fiberglass pipeline design which are either inadequately or not addressed in either AWWA Manual M45—Fiberglass Pipe Design, or AWWA Standard C950-01—Fiberglass Pipe. The experience from the design and construction of the Owens Dry Lake project, purportedly the largest application of fiberglass pipe in the world, is discussed, with specific recommendations for design for the water industry use filament wound.
