Study on the Monitoring System of Slope Failure Using Optical Fiber Sensors
This study developed three types of monitoring systems, the BOTDR (Brillouin Optical Time Domain Reflectometer) system, the FBG (Fiber Bragg Grating) system and the MDM (Macro Distortion Monitor) system, to monitor road slope failures using optical fiber sensors. These systems have been tested at several sites in Japan to check their applicability. This paper reports the result.
