Float Calibration in Intergrated-Float Techniques
A method of producing floats of predetermined terminal velocities without the need for individual calibration has been developed for use with the integrating-float method of discharge measurement. A calibration curve relating effective density to terminal velocity is used to determine terminal velocities for individual floats, thus eliminating the need for depth or rise time measurements in the application to discharge measurement.
