Borehole Preparation Technique for Pressuremeter Testing in Sand Gravel and Cobbles
This paper presents an innovative method that was developed for formation of a borehole that allowed for pressuremeter testing in otherwise unstable and variable material. The results of the testing are presented in the form of modulus parameters and compared to modulus values obtained from the literature and from geophysical methods used at the same project site. The testing and analysis indicate that the pressuremeter tests results were successful and the results appropriate for design.
