Research on Moisture Susceptibility of Emulsion Treated Cold Reclaimed Asphalt Mixture
This paper discusses the influences on moisture susceptibility of emulsion treated cold recycled asphalt mixtures by different RAP (Reclaimed Asphalt Pavement) contents and 100% RAP mixture with various Portland cements. Results of Tensile Strength Ratio (TSR) indicate that TSR reduces slightly with the increase in RAP content of mixtures, but all are around 60%. The TSR of emulsion asphalt cold reclaimed asphalt mixture containing 100%RAP increases considerably from 57% to 77% by the addition of 1% Portland cement, but it changes slightly with the increase in the Portland cements contents from 1% to 3%.
