Manhole Inspection and Rehabilitation
Over the past decade, inspection and rehabilitation programs have been increasingly implemented to address collection system structures that are quickly deteriorating from increasingly aggressive sewer environments, late stages of design life and, sometimes, poor construction. Programs have included the replacement or rehabilitation of pipelines, lateral lines and manholes. Specifiers, contractors, owners and operators need to be informed of the impact of manhole rehabilitation, methodology of manhole inspection and dissemination of relevant characteristics, advantages and disadvantages of prevalent technology and materials.
