Effective Utilization of the Sanitary Engineering Profession: Report of the Committee of the Sanitary Engineering Division on Advancement of Sanitary Engineering
In keeping with the general theme of the Centennial, this report first will present some of the factors that have contributed to the growth and development of sanitary engineering as a special activity in the field of civil engineering; second, will review some of the current problems that confront those who practice in this field; and, finally, will attempt to envision some of the situations that, as far as can presently be anticipated, may confront the profession in the not-too-distant future. If, through a review of the past, a better understanding of the present is obtained and if, through this understanding, engineers are better prepared to plan for the future, the purpose of this report will have been achieved.
