A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
The term “lateral spillway channel” is used in this paper to designate an open channel which receives inflow throughout its length, laterally from one or both sides, and discharges the accumulated flow at a point in the channel, usually one end. When used for reservoir spillways, these channels are sometimes referred to as “side channel spillways.” On a smaller scale they are found in all water and sewage treatment plants.
