Falls Bridge, over the River Schuylkill, on the Philadelphia and Reading Railroad, is a stone structure with six arches of eighty-three feet span and twenty-four feet raise. Each arch consists of eight square-built ribs of three by three feet in the section, and each rib sits eighteen inches back of its fellow, making a skew of twelve feet in a width of twenty-four.
