The Flow of Water in Pipes under Pressure
The following tables have been deduced from experiments on the pumping mains of the Philadelphia Water Works, and show the effect produced by abrupt bends, check valves and foul pipe. The temperature of the water was about 62°, and its weight has considered as 62.338 lbs. per cubic foot.
