Final Report of Special Committee on Irrigation Hydraulics
The Committee was appointed June 30, 1922. It was discontinued December 31, 1933, at the request of the Committee itself. The reasons for this request were: (1) The Committee has been in existence for 11½ years and has contributed much to the advancement of the Engineering Profession during that period. (2) The Committee has been very active throughout its existence while funds for its work were available. It has generally held two meetings per year and each member has had definite assignments of work. (3) When funds were curtailed the work suffered to such an extent that it was thought the better policy would be for the Committee to suspend work altogether, resting on its record of accomplishments, rather than to continue a desultory existence.
