Design of Alternating Diffuser Pipes
The present not reports the results of an experimental investigation of the maximum surface temperature rise induced by a section of the central part of an alternating multiport diffuser, where three-dimensional end effects can be neglected and the flow can be considered as two-dimensional. The empirical relationships obtained permit the prediction of the maximum temperature rise at the free surface of the receiving waters for a wide range of ambient flow conditions, given the diffuser and effluent characteristics.
