Application Research on Life Cycle Safety Management of Construction Projects Based on BIM-4D
One of the most important target controls in engineering management is construction safety. Because there are annual reports of construction safety accidents in China, traditional safety management should look for breakthroughs. Although many scholars use various methods to improve building safety, they lack the consideration of building life cycle safety planning. Therefore, this paper proposes a life cycle safety management platform based on BIM-4D. The issues with traditional safety management are first examined. Then, in order to address these issues, this paper proposes the use of BIM-4D technology to improve project safety management and exhibits the benefits of this technology in this regard. Following that, a BIM-4D-based life cycle safety management platform is built, followed by a life cycle application process scheme for the management platform, so that all project participants may understand their duties in safety management. The results show that this paper provides a reference for the deepening application of life cycle safety management of construction projects.
