Flume Experiments on Flow in Mobile Bed Channels
There is an enormous variability in the flow equations which were proposed for mobile-bed channels, and which contain a term that purports to measure sediment load. J. W. Johnson compiled experimental data on sediment transport data that existed prior to 1948 to address this problem. The authors have expanded Johnson's work to include the more recent data collections and have analyzed the data to determine the scope of available experimental conditions.
