Laboratory Tests of Bolted Joints
The paper summarizes the results of static and fatigue tests on structural joints for which high-strength steel bolts were used as fasteners. The tests indicate that joints of this type are generally superior to similar riveted joints, whether subjected to static loads or fatigue-type loads.
