Three-Dimensional Highway Alignment Design System Using Stereoscopy of Aerial Photographs and Computer Graphics
A three-dimensional alignment design system in the virtual space recreated by stereoscopy of aerial photographs is developed. In order to define the three-dimensional alignment in the virtual space, B-spline curves are applied. Definition of a highway alignment as a three-dimensional alignment enables the direct acquisition of digital three-dimensional model and the real-time assessment of the design.
