Performance Evaluation for RC Bridge Decks
Evaluation of concrete bridge decks is performed due to natural aging, increasing load spectra, deterioration caused by fatigue, freeze/thaw cycles, shrinkage and temperature gradient. Based on field observations and tests, the analysis is provided for different damage scenarios. The FE model is built to show the behavior of whole superstructure and to check the influence of particular parameters affecting deck degradation. Model is calibrated using strains and deflections measured on a real bridge.
