Plumb Line System for Double Arch Dams
This article describes the design and installation of an innovative plumb line system installed on the face of a double-curvature concrete arch dam. The system measures horizontal movements of the dam body with an accuracy of ±0.1 mm. The plumb lines have been in service for more than three years and demonstrate the continued integrity and safety of the dam.
