Morning-Glory Shaft Spillways: A Symposium: Performance Tests on Prototype and Model
The performance of the model of the Heart Butte Dam (North Dakota) morning-glory spillway and outlet works is compared with the performance of the prototype structure . Certa in elements of the prototype performance which could not be included in the model tests are also described. The results of the comparisons add further support to the premise that prototype performance can be predicted with accuracy from model tests.
